MY TEACHING PHYLOSOPHY

MY TEACHING PHYLOSOPHY
I am sure that each child is an apple on the eye of their parents. They need a safe, caring and pleasure atmosphere to grow and mature in all aspect including emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. I will help children to develop their potential by believing in them as an individuals that having the ability or qualities necessary to do anything so they can express their own opinions and developing their own ideas and invites a sharing of ideas. I have a vision of a world where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us, as the core of what makes life so fascinating.
As a teacher, I will act as a guide rather than acting as the primary source of information. I want them to search to the answers of their questions by their own. For students to build knowledge, they need to discover for themselves and practice skill in real situations by providing hands-on activities and allowing enough time and space to use material that creates opportunity for individuals to construct and discover knowledge.
Every classroom presents learners that vary in ability and learning styles. My role as a teacher is to give children having the opportunity that are meaningful and relevant to their life and interest. Developing a curriculum around student interest fosters intrinsic motivation and stimulates the interest to learn. One way to do this is by inviting student discussing about the lessons and units of study. I will incorporate themes, integrated units, projects, group work, individual work and hands on learning in order to make children active learners.
My classroom will be secure, safe and fair environment where each child can successful and grow. In showing children how to become responsible for themselves, others as well as their own learning, I will encourage them to become a school prefect, librarians, or become a classroom monitor. This will make them become more responsible persons. I am giving them the tools to become successful in life, to believe I themselves and to love themselves.
Through an open sharing of ideas and wise approach to discipline, this will help to develop a deep love and respect for themselves, others and their environment. I am sure that students have respect their teachers, peer and the lesson presented when they feel sure of what is expected of them. I believe, if students are shown respect, they will learn to respect the others. This is really important aspect that is compulsory to be implemented to them.
When schools work together with families to support learning, children are tending to succeed not just in school, but throughout life. Children do best when parents are enabled to play roles in their children’s learning. Parents also can play part as a teacher at home that helping children with their homework or revision. They also should show their supports to the school by contributing their skills to the school. When there is a formal ceremony, they should contribute their energy and be as supporter to show their concern to the school. Parents also can be a decision makers that participating in joint problem-solving with the school at every level.
To me, teaching is a lifelong learning process of learning about new philosophies and new strategies, learning from the parents and community, learning from colleagues, and especially learning from the children. Teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. As an educator, I hope I can educate my students to love and show passion on leaning. I am viewing education process not only receive a solid education, but to work with someone who is aware of and sensitive to their individual needs. I will always strive to be the best educator that I can be and because of this, I will never forget how to smile with the new, cherish the old, and laugh with the children.
