Basic
feature of Lecture Maker including interface which is very similar to Microsoft
PowerPoint. It’s create and edit slide, slide setup, slide property, design,
layout, template, run slide, slide navigation and slide master. First, at
interface, upper most part of the screen, I can see the menu bar and the left
hand side of screen; I can see the slide window which I have previously done.
And the below part of the left screen, under the slide window, I can see the
view button. On the right hand side of screen, I can see the object list which
convenient to show all the object which I have inserted in my slide. This
feature is very significant for making e-learning content for presentation. We
cannot find this feature on the Microsoft PowerPoint. In the menu bar, we can
find home tab, insert tab, control tab, design tab, view tab and format tab
which I find its look more or less like PowerPoint. Because of its very
familiar feature, it make me easy to use Lecture Maker. To easily adding slide,
just press enter.
By using Lecture Maker, we can
always insert flash file into the presentation. On the design tab, there is two
important buttons that I learned which slide setup and slide property is. Before
create our presentation we should click on slide setup and in there, I find the
slide size. The 3-2 ratio is used to making e-learning content while 4-3 ratio
is use for making presentation. Then I click on the arrow key and more sizes
can be found, but I just use the recommended size 990 x 660. After that, I try
to click on slide property button and now I know that I can change the slide
title, color background, background shape
and others. The things that I think most important in the slide property
is move to the next like function, when making e-learning content, I need to
remove the checkmark so that slide will automatically go to the next slide without
having to press the mouse. We can simply decide how many seconds or minutes we
want the slide to be preview.
Under
the view tab, we can always view the slide we have done by clicking on the view
button either to view the entire slide or view from the current slide. Another
special feature of Lecture Maker is the navigation button in which we can
easily move from one slide to another. Under view tab there is a slide master
button which I not really know how to use it and I think I need to explore it
more.
