REFLECTION ON SIMULATIONS

REFLECTION ON SIMULATIONS

Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real-world process or system over time. In ICT class is not my first time experience on using simulation from the web. My minor subject, Introductory Science laboratory test is using the same web and we tested the projectile motion with different angle and initial velocity.  In my opinion, simulation is used with scientific modeling of natural systems or human systems to gain insight into their functioning. Simulation can be used to show the eventual real effects of alternative conditions and courses of action. Simulation is also used when the real system cannot be engaged, because it may not be accessible, or it may be dangerous or unacceptable to engage, or it is being designed but not yet built, or it may simply not exist.
Based on my experience in learning science, I never understand about the process such as human embryonic development process, however, when lecturer shows the simulations regarding to this process, I found myself get the real idea on embryonic development. It is impossible for a teacher to cut off the womb of pregnant woman and show every stage of their embryo development. However, simulations make both teacher and students to learned and work in an effective ways.  I realize, not all teachers will use this technique during their time of teaching, however, when I become a teacher, I will implement and expose this technique to my students in order to improve and enhance their understanding.
Simulations can be an ideal way in which to explain complex ideas and complicated devices. Whether the aim is to teach students how things work, show engineers how to fix them when they do not or just to help people understand things that would otherwise confuse them, simulations can be an easy answer.
